Julie Terberg, Principal, began her career with computer graphics in the mid-80s. Her background includes a BFA in Industrial Design from the College for Creative Studies (Detroit) and many years (and long nights) working backstage in business theater.
From 2000-2005, she was a contributing editor to Presentations magazine, educating others via award-winning articles on Creative Techniques. With Terry Irwin, she is the co-author of “Perfect Medical Presentations,” the first book of its kind for healthcare and scientific professionals. The British Medical Association awarded the book “First Prize ” in the Basis of Medicine category for 2005. With Echo Swinford, Julie co-authored “Building PowerPoint Templates: Step by Step with the Experts,” a one-of-a-kind guide to building templates that work well beyond your desktop.
Julie conducts training workshops for corporate and freelance presentation designers around the US. She enjoys presenting each year at The Presentation Summit (formerly PowerPoint Live). Her speaking experience includes the 2006 HOW Design Conference and 2002-2004 Training & Presentations Conferences. Since 2005, she has been awarded as a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for her contributions to the PowerPoint community.
As a graphic designer, consultant, writer, and teacher, Julie is passionate about visual presentations and encourages designers to open their minds to the possibilities of the medium.
